The Database
Evolved has built its database on Veritas Clustered Sun Servers running Oracle® Enterprise Edition. The Solaris Operating Environment is recognized as the industry leader in network operating systems. It runs over 12,000 of the most extensively tested, highest quality software packages available today.

Oracle Enterprise Edition is the most powerful database available for driving enterprise ebusiness applications, online transaction processing applications (OLTP), query-intensive data warehouses and high capacity web sites. Oracle Enterprise Edition offers unparalleled performance and scalability that spans from single CPU server to massive server clusters and maaboutusmes.

The Data Center
The Evolved world-class Data Center is housed in a vault-like reinforced facility with monitored video surveillance cameras throughout. All entrances are secured via access cards and biometric control units.

Dual power and redundant communication feeds assure availability, and two self-healing SONET rings eliminate telecom outages. The facility is equipped with an FM200 waterless fire suppression system and backup generator. Environmental equipment employs N+1 design to eliminate single points of failure.

The Network
Evolved has chosen Cisco, Qwest and XO as its network suppliers. Cisco’s end-to-end enterprise network solutions form the most comprehensive line of networking products available. Qwest is one of the largest, most technologically advanced networks in the world. Gigabit Ethernet drives network traffic to reduce bandwidth bottlenecks, and the network’s equipment is fully redundant and fault-tolerant. XO Communications provides business communication solutions nationwide with an award-winning Internet backbone network. Together with these providers, our network powers a rapid, robust exchange of multimedia content – images, data and voice.
